You cut up a quilt?!?
At Linen Legacy Co, we rescue portions of sewn history from old quilts and vintage linens to create a piece for you to make new memories. The ladies of yesteryear put so much time and effort into lovingly crafting each quilt, that we want to carry that love on a little longer when we can.
I have worked with quilts since I pieced my first top at 12. I was surrounded by hand-quilting grannies and a machine-quilting Mom. I typically pieced the tops. But, the rule of never cutting up a quilt, made me sad to not preserve what we could to share with others.
I preserve what can be saved of these precious works of art and upcycle them just for you. Details that can be read from the quilt's unique story will be shared when available. Each quilt's color and pattern combination can only make so many items, so there will rarely be duplicate offerings if ever. Enjoy shopping and crafting your storied home!
